Eurofound is funded from the Community budget. The latest budget for 2012 amounts to €20,544,000. In March, the Governing Board sends an estimate of revenue and expenditure [2013, .pdf, 177KB] to the European Commission. The Commission decides on the appropriate funding and inserts the amount in its Draft Budget. In July the Council of the EU decides on a Draft Budget which is submitted to the European Parliament for approval. Following decisions of the European Parliament and the Council and a possible conciliation procedure, the budget should be approved in November or at the latest in December.
The Court of Auditors examines the accounts of all revenue and expenditure of the Foundation and publishes an annual report on the financial statements of the Foundation. The latest available is the report for 2010 [.pdf, 1.5Mb].
