Hellenic Telecommunications Organization, a Greek telecommunication company, is about to implement a voluntary exit plan, aimed at downsizing its personnel by up to 2,000 jobs.

According to the press reports, the restructuring programme is to be completed by the end of 2012 and it will help to save costs for the following years.

Hellenic Telecommunications (OTE) has about 7 million fixed access lines in service and provides local, long-distance, and international telephone calling. OTE's international holdings include subsidiaries in Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia.
