Effectiveness

The annual survey anprovides detailed information on the occupational needs of Italian enterprises. It is aimed at supporting policies concerning labour market and education and training system. Data from the survey are included in the official statistics published on an annual basis by the National Institute for Statistics (Istat) in Italy.

Strengths

In Italy, the Excelsior system is a unique information tool. It provides detailed information on the occupational needs of Italian companies and is conducted in a systematic way.

Weaknesses

No system exists to enable comparisons between the projections provided by Excelsior survey and company initiatives (such as those relating to the staff needs of companies).
