WORKING WEEK

In principle, with maximum working hours of eight hours daily and six working days , the working week amounts to 48 hours. In practice, this working week as permitted under the various regulations on working hours is less relevant than the working week as regulated by collective agreement . In almost all areas of the public and private sectors, working hours have already been reduced by collective agreement to less than a 40-hour week.
