Comitato Interministeriale per la Programmazione Economica (Interministerial Economic Planning Committee). Appointed body set up, within the Government, by Law No. 48 of 1967, which has the task of generally directing national economic planning. It is formally chaired by the Prime Minister, but is in fact headed by the Minister for the Budget and Economic Planning, who is its vice-chairman.
