ACTIVA YOUNG JOB-SEEKER'S ALLOWANCE |
Benefit granted under non-contributory social security provisions to young people aged 18-25 who are seeking employment and fulfil certain requirements, including being registered as job-seekers at an Employment Office, having been fit for and available for work for at least six months, and having a per capita household income of not more than 60 per cent. of the national minimum wage . The allowance is paid for 15 months (although the young person concerned may apply for it again after 360 days have elapsed since the previous allowance was granted).
