Agreements between the Government and the most representative trade unions and employers' associations to establish the basic framework of social and economic policy and involve the signatories in its implementation, particularly as regards pay. Social contracts have been very common in Spain in recent years, where they are usually referred to as social concertation or tripartite agreements.
