WORKS RULES

Set of rules and instructions issued by the employer as regards work organization and working conditions in the enterprise. They were sometimes also called reglamento de empresa . Once a traditional feature of Spanish labour legislation, they are now tending to disappear since the Workers' Statute of 1980 abolished the regulations governing the procedure for their official approval. Employers are, however, still able to issue general orders and instructions on the basis of the employer's managerial authority/managerial prerogative .
