Part-time work in Europe (report)
| Author: | Corral, Antonio; Isusi, Iñigo |
| Summary: | Part-time work has become increasingly commonplace in the European Union. This report explores the profile of part-time workers and analyses the main factors underlying the development of part-time work practices. It also analyses the quality of work and employment conditions faced by part-time workers, such as the level of satisfaction with working hours, employment tenure and contract conditions, wage conditions, job content and career development, and exposure to hazards and working time determinants. This report has been elaborated within the framework of the European Working Conditions Observatory. It combines pan-European central sources (European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, Eurostat reports and studies) and national information collected from a network of seven European correspondents. |
