Stakeholders
Eurofound's role is to provide information, advice and expertise – on living and working conditions, industrial relations and managing change in Europe – for key actors in the field of EU social policy on the basis of comparative information, research and analysis. While Eurofound is directed at the EU level in its role and work, it is linked with the Member States in a number of ways.
Institutionally, Eurofound’s Governing Board comprises 78 members, of whom 75 are appointed on nomination from governments and social partner organisations within the Member States, with three representing the European Commission.
Thus Eurofound is conscious of, and responds to, the need to communicate well with the Member States, as well as the EU institutions and other bodies.
