Guerilla Translation cooperative

Guerrilla Translation is a P2P translation and communication cooperative founded in Spain. The goal of the cooperative is to support translators and freelancers to make a living while being able to choose topics of interest and social relevance as a matter of cross-cultural knowledge sharing. For this purpose, Guerrilla Translation has developed a specific kind of livelihood vehicle by combining two functions: A voluntary translation/media collective that engages in activism (in the form of knowledge sharing and communication) and a cooperative agency that provides translation and communication services. Through this structure, the cooperative aims to secure the quality of translations and strives to help tackling the cultural and economic problems endemic to the creative and digital industries. It is supported by CoopCyle, the French network of cooperatives.
