Приликите и разликите в работната среда на мъжете и жените е една от проучваните теми. Изследването разглежда редица специфични аспекти на качеството на работата – включително работно време, удовлетвореност от работа, съчетаване на професионален с личен живот, както и последствия за здравето, свързани с работата – с цел оценяване на опита на жени и мъже при непрекъснато променящото се работно място. Изследването анализира разделението на труда по пол както в трудовия живот, така и у дома, и представя поглед върху условията на труд за мъжете и жените в 27-те държави-членки на ЕС. Настоящата брошура обобщава основните предизвикателства, свързани с измерението на пола на работното място, и представя кратка характеристика на основните резултати от изследването.

    Eurofound’s European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS) paints a wide-ranging picture of Europe at work across countries, occupations, sectors and age groups. This series consists of findings from the EWCS 2005, the fourth edition of the survey. The survey was first carried out in 1990.
