This report studies practices in EU establishments for direct and indirect employee participation in decision-making. Indirect employee participation is the involvement of employee representatives in decision-making processes, while direct employee participation describes direct interaction between employers and employees. The study builds on the survey data from the Eurofound Third European Company Survey Overview report and focuses on how direct and indirect employee participation are related to each other and to national-level industrial relations characteristics. It establishes which practices of employee participation are beneficial both for the establishment and the employees. It finds that more extensive forms of direct and indirect employee participation are associated with positive establishment outcomes.

Непряко участие на служителите е участието на представители на служителите в процесите на вземане на решения, а под пряко участие на служителите се разбира прякото взаимодействие между работодателите и служителите. Проучването е изготвено въз основа на данните от обобщения доклад за третото издание на Проучването на европейските дружества(ECS), извършено от Eurofound, и анализира връзките между прякото и непрякото участие на служителите и между това участие и характеристиките на индустриалните отношения на национално равнище. Определя се кои практики на участие на служителите са полезни както за предприятието, така и за служителите. Направена е констатацията, че най-разширените форми на пряко и непряко участие на служителите са свързани с положителни резултати от дейността на предприятията.

This series consists of outputs from the ECS 2013, the third edition of the survey.
