Resumé

Well-functioning social dialogue is a key component for the successful design and implementation of reforms needed to increase the competitiveness of Europe’s economies and create more jobs. It balances workers’ and employers’ interests and contributes to both economic competitiveness and social cohesion. The link between social dialogue and productivity and competitiveness has been the subject of much research, particularly since the advent of the economic crisis in 2008. In some countries, decentralised bargaining is part of a coordinated system, but in others key aspects of coordinated social dialogue, such as company-level worker representation, are missing. This report identifies how management, employees and their representatives find common solutions to common problems. It also describes the measures, especially innovative approaches, that have been established through social dialogue in response to new workplace challenges.     En velfungerende social dialog er et afgørende element i en vellykket udformning og gennemførelse af de reformer, der er nødvendige for at skærpe konkurrenceevnen i Europas økonomier og skabe flere job. Den skaber balance mellem arbejdstageres og arbejdsgiveres interesser og bidrager til både økonomisk konkurrenceevne og social samhørighed. Forbindelsen mellem social dialog og produktivitet og konkurrenceevne har været genstand for megen forskning, især siden den økonomiske krise ramte i 2008. I nogle lande er decentraliserede overenskomstforhandlinger en del af et koordineret system, mens der i andre lande mangler væsentlige aspekter af en koordineret social dialog, f.eks. arbejdstagerrepræsentation på virksomhedsniveau. Denne rapport viser, hvordan ledelsen, medarbejderne og deres repræsentanter finder fælles løsninger på fælles problemer.
