CO-OPERATION AGREEMENTS

Name given to a special type of collective agreement in Denmark which groups together a number of provisions relating exclusively to co-operation and employee involvement at individual workplace level. Most co-operation agreements contain rules on the establishment of a joint committee composed of workforce and management representatives (see co-operation committee ), an obligation on the employer to negotiate with, consult and inform employee representatives and, possibly, an obligation on the employer to pursue specified objectives in dealing with general matters of personnel policy. They are frequently modelled on a Co-operation Agreement between the DA and LO concluded at basic agreement level.
