DISTRICT AGREEMENT

Collective agreement at local level (usually provincial) concluded predominantly in certain non-industrial sectors (agriculture, construction and commerce), reflecting the work situations and labour market characteristics of the geographical area in question.

A typical district agreement is the provincial agreement (see also decentralized bargaining ). Under the Agreement of 23 July 1993 , such agreements occur only as an alternative to the company agreement as the second, decentralized level of the new bargaining structure .
