FEDERAL WELFARE AND DISABLED PERSONS AGENCY
BUNDESAMT FÜR SOZIALES UND BEHINDERTENWESEN

(Also called Bundessozialamt, i.e. Federal Welfare Agency.) Name of the Agencies established in Austria's individual Länder (although Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland share a single Agency) with responsibilities in connection with pensions and benefits for war victims, victims of crime, the armed forces and victims of vaccine damage, employment for the disabled, supervision of private job placement, hiring-out of labour and claims for insolvency guarantee payments (see protection in the event of insolvency).
