Sweden: Employers set up labour market Economic Council
The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise has set up a Labour Market Economy Council to analyse how labour market policy, wage formation and work organisation affects the labour market.
The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) takes the initiative in setting up an independent labour market Economic Council (in Swedish). The primary tasks of the council are to analyse how labour market policy, wage formation and work organisation affects the workings of the Swedish labour market.
From 2016, the council will publish an annual report on the functioning of the labour market, the aim of which is to contribute to a deepened and more transparent discussion. Despite being initiated and financed by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the council is not meant to be a ‘partner organisation’, but is to function as a neutral research council.
