The future of construction - building a safer and more competitive sector
EMCC anticipation workshop, Madrid, 29-30 September 2005
The aim of these events is to introduce participants to scenario-building techniques, a tool that will enable them to construct plausible futures - but not to forecast or predict it. By applying this method in a work context, participants will be better positioned to anticipate change and prepare for likely future changes in their sector of activity.
The format of the workshops includes a general presentation of the studies commissioned by EMCC, followed by working group sessions facilitated by an expert in the field. The working groups discuss the main certainties and uncertainties each sector might face in the future. In the final plenary session, participants develop comparative profiles of companies operating in the sector in order to pinpoint drivers of change in their own organisations.
The future of construction - building a safer and more competitive sector will be held in Madrid in September 2005. Further details are available on the EMCC website.
