Eurofound participation at Informal EPSCO Meeting

Eurofound has been invited to present to the Informal EU Social Affairs and Employment Ministers (EPSCO) meeting at the Grand Master's Palace in Valetta, Malta on 3-4 April. The overall focus of the meeting is 'Making Work Pay'.
The European Commission, represented by Commissioner Marianne Thyssen, opened the meeting by highlighting that the gaps between rich and poor, as well as inequalities between men and women, and young and old undermines people's faith in a just society - and that efforts must be geared towards ensuring that everyone can put their talent to work.
Eurofound Director Mr Juan Menéndez-Valdés presented new findings on inequalities in the EU labour market at the meeting.
