Working time and work–life balance in European companies: Summary
This summary of the Working time and work–life balance in European companies report provides a first overview of working time policies and practices as well as work–life balance issues in European establishments. The study was conducted 21 countries and in over 21,000 establishments, covering both the private and public sectors. As part of the survey, personnel managers and – where available – employee representatives (e.g. chairpersons of the works councils, shop stewards) in the same establishments were interviewed about working time arrangements and work–life balance at the workplace. The survey results are representative for all establishments with 10 or more employees.
