Nearly 37,000 people in 33 European countries (28 EU Member States and 5 candidate countries) were interviewed in the last quarter of 2016 for the fourth wave of the European Quality of Life Survey. This overview report presents the findings for the EU Member States. It uses information from previous survey rounds, as well as other research, to look at trends in quality of life against a background of the changing social and economic profile of European societies. Ten years after the global economic crisis, it examines well-being and quality of life broadly, to include quality of society and public services. The findings indicate that differences between countries on many aspects are still prevalent – but with more nuanced narratives. Each Member State exhibits certain strengths in particular aspects of well-being, but multiple disadvantages are still more pronounced in some societies than in others; and in all countries significant social inequalities persist.

    Europsko istraživanje o kvaliteti života 2016.

    Autor(i):
    Eurofound

    Gotovo 37 000 ljudi u 33 europske zemlje (28 država članica EU-a i pet zemalja kandidatkinja) ispitano je u posljednjem tromjesečju 2016. u svrhu prikupljanja podataka za četvrto Europsko istraživanje o kvaliteti života. Ovo izvješće predstavlja pregled rezultata po državama članicama EU-a. U izvješću se upotrebljavaju podatci iz prethodnih istraživanja, kao i iz drugih istraživanja, da bi se proučili trendovi u pogledu kvalitete života s obzirom na okolnosti promjenjivog društvenog i gospodarskog profila europskih društava. Deset godina nakon globalne gospodarske krize u istraživanju se ispituje dobrobit i kvaliteta života u širokom smislu, uključujući kvalitetu društva i javnih usluga. Rezultati pokazuju da su u mnogim aspektima razlike između zemalja i dalje izražene, ali se uglavnom radi o nijansama. Svaka država članica pokazuje određene prednosti u nekim aspektima dobrobiti, ali višestruki problemi i dalje su izraženiji u nekim društvima  nego u ostalima; a u svim zemljama i dalje su postojane znatne društvene nejednakosti.

  • European Quality of Life Survey 2016

    Eurofound's European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS) examines both the objective circumstances of European citizens' lives and how they feel about those circumstances and their lives in general. This series consists of outputs from the EQLS 2016, the fourth edition of the survey. The survey was first carried out in 2003.

  • European Quality of Life Surveys

    The European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS) is carried out every four to five years since its inception in 2003, with the latest edition in 2016. It examines both the objective circumstances of people's lives and how they feel about those circumstances and their lives in general. It covers issues around employment, income, education, housing, family, health and work–life balance. It also looks at subjective topics, such as people's levels of happiness and life satisfaction, and perceptions of the quality of society.
