10 - 12 October 2014, Budapest, Hungary

The International Step by Step Association (ISSA) is organising the conference 'Creating a society for all: reconsidering early childhood services' at the Danubius Hotel Flamenco in Budapest on 10-12 October 2014.

The event will mark the 15th anniversary of ISSA and will attract practitioners, researchers, policy makers, parents and NGOs from all over the world. It will be an opportunity for shared learning and a joint exploration to re-consider early childhood services for children from birth through primary school.

Delegates will focus on three main topics:

  • ensuring that democratic values and principles are integral to early childhood practices;
  • reaching and supporting all children in their earliest years, to reduce the gap in equity between the majority of young children and the most disadvantaged; and
  • identifying successful approaches to develop comprehensive services that link care, health, education and social assistance systems.

Daniel Molinuevo, Research Officer in the Living Conditions and Quality of Life Unit, will represent Eurofound at the conference.
