Living, working and COVID-19

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is having a profound impact, with far-reaching implications for the way people live and work across Europe and the globe.

Eurofound has begun to monitor the critical changes the crisis has brought to the labour market, working conditions and quality of life across the EU in the short term and aims to map how different Member States have responded to the challenges that have emerged.

Media

  • The living and working conditions of Europeans are changing. By monitoring the latest developments and providing timely, in-depth analysis and information in these areas to EU-level institutions, national governments and social partners, Eurofound aims to support the EU agenda by providing knowledge to improve the quality of life and work in Europe.

This short video presents what we do, and why we do it.

Surveys

Eurofound carries out three pan-European surveys to contribute to the planning and establishment of better living and working conditions. The surveys offer a unique source of comparative information on the quality of living and working conditions across the EU.

Observatories

Eurofound has two observatories, which draw extensively on the work of Eurofound's network of European correspondents, as well as other research activities.
