Quality of life touches on areas of life relevant to everybody, such as relations with family and friends, as well as on issues pertaining to public policy, such as housing and social relations in the community. This report draws on two rounds of the European Quality of Life Survey, carried out by Eurofound in 2003 and 2007, to give a wide-ranging picture of the diverse social realities in Europe today. It explores patterns of stability and change in the quality of life of the EU population as a whole and questions whether overall quality of life is deteriorating or improving in the different countries
Šiame tyrime apžvelgiamos ES gyventojų, kaip visumos, stabilios gyvenimo kokybės arba jos pokyčių ypatybės. Nagrinėjama, kiek įtakos gyvenimo kokybės pokyčiams naujosiose valstybėse narėse turėjo ES plėtra ir kiek pasikeitė žmonių, kurių pajamos nepakankamos, įvairių amžiaus grupių bei moterų ir vyrų padėtis. Be to, šiame tyrime vertinamas tam tikrų grupių pažeidžiamumas esant dabartiniam ekonomikos nuosmukiui.
The European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS) is carried out every four to five years since its inception in 2003, with the latest edition in 2016. It examines both the objective circumstances of people's lives and how they feel about those circumstances and their lives in general. It covers issues around employment, income, education, housing, family, health and work–life balance. It also looks at subjective topics, such as people's levels of happiness and life satisfaction, and perceptions of the quality of society.
