Abstract

This report describes recent structural shifts in employment in European labour markets before, during and after the 2008–2009 recession. It finds that employment destruction across Europe in the recession was strongly polarising in terms of the wage structure, while there was less polarisation in 2010–2012. A jobs based approach identifies how net employment shifts at Member State and EU level have been distributed across jobs in different quintiles of the wage distribution. An executive summary is available - see Related content.

    Polarizzazzjoni tal-impjiegi u l-kwalità tax-xogħol fil-kriżi: Osservatur Ewropew tal-Impjiegi 2013

    Authors:
    Eurofound
    Dan ir-rapport jiddeskrivi t-tibdil strutturali reċenti fl-impjiegi fis-swieq Ewropej tax-xogħol qabel, matul u wara r-riċessjoni ta’ bejn l-2008 u l-2009. Ir-rapport isib li l-qerda tal-impjiegi fl-Ewropa kollha fir-riċessjoni kienet polarizzanti ħafna f’termini tal-istruttura tal-pagi, filwaqt li kien hemm inqas polarizzazzjoni fl-2010-2012. Approċċ ibbażat fuq l-impjiegi jidentifika kif it-tibdil nett fl-impjiegi fuq il-livell tal-UE u tal-Istati Membri tqassam madwar impjiegi f’kwintili differenti tat-tqassim tal-pagi. Żewġ kriterji alternattivi għall-klassifikazzjoni tal-impjiegi huma bbażati fuq il-livell edukattiv medju tad-detenturi tal-impjiegi u miżura multidimensjonali tal-kwalità tax-xogħol, l-indiċi tal-kwalità tal-impjiegi mhux finanzjarji. Dan l-indiċi l-ġdid, miksub bl-użu ta’ dejta mill-ħames Stħarriġ Ewropew dwar il-Kundizzjonijiet tax-Xogħol, huwa bbażat fuq l-aggregazzjoni ta’ informazzjoni dwar firxa wiesgħa ta’ attributi tal-impjiegi marbuta mix-xjenzati soċjali mal-benesseri tal-ħaddiema.
