The database is updated daily and grows at a rate of approximately 20-30 new entries a week. To date, more than 27,000 restructuring events have been recorded.

In order to be included in the database, an individual case of restructuring must involve the announced loss or creation of at least 100 jobs, or employment effects affecting at least 10% of a workforce of more than 250 people. A restructuring statistics tool is available to explore summary data from the restructuring events database by country, sector and restructuring type.The full dataset can be made available for non-commercial research purposes. Research carried out prior to the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union on 31 January 2020, and published subsequently, may include data relating to the 28 EU Member States. Following this date, research only takes into account the 27 EU Member States (EU28 minus the UK), unless specified otherwise.
