Work hires 18,000 'riders' as wage earners in a month (Trabajo da de alta a 18.000 ‘riders’ como asalariados en un mes)

Delivery platforms have started to register delivery drivers as employees with social security who were previously registered as self-employed. Labour inspectors were asked to review thousands of labour relations in October and found that 17,950 people who were previously registered as self –employed are now registered as new employees of platforms such as Amazon, Uber Eats, Glovo and Deliveroo. This figure is expected to increase over the year as more employees register with platforms.
