A recent study examined the relationship between interpersonal trust and innovativeness in Croatian enterprises and found that these are important strategic tools contributing to the company’s success.
A recent study by Podrug and Ajduk (2015) sought to define the relationship between interpersonal trust and innovativeness in Croatian enterprises. They found that interpersonal trust and innovation are important strategic tools contributing to the company’s success.
This study tested and confirmed two hypotheses. The results of the empirical research confirm the link between interpersonal trust and innovativeness. An increase of trust in the ability of employees, employees’ integrity and benevolence of employees also increases innovation behaviour, innovation strategies and processes within Croatian companies, and vice versa. Increased trust in the integrity of employees also increases the tendency for the development of innovative products. Innovation behaviour, strategies and processes in Croatian companies increase with employees’ trust in the integrity of managers. It should be noted that vertical trust has a positive effect on innovativeness in an organisation. The research conclusions confirm the relevance of trust and innovativeness in creating value and achieving competitive advantage.
