Social public services: Online casebook

This casebook draws together examples of best practice from all fifteen member states of the EU and covers four client groups: dependent elderly people, adults with learning disabilities, adults with mental health problems, and young unemployed people. The examples were collected to illustrate best practice in the social public services concerning the quality of services to users and quality of working life, particularly at local levels and concerning front line staff.

In total ninety-seven examples of good practice were documented in the national reports. Examples of good practice are particularly prevalent in the non-profit sector and the public sector. All of the examples are state funded, although some are supplemented with additional revenue from donations and charges.
