French aircraft manufacturer Airbus Group SE has announced to hire 6,000 people worldwide by the end of June 2022. The aim of the recruitment is to restore the workforce to pre-pandemic levels, so that they can work on long-term projects such as digital transformation and decarbonization.

1,500 new jobs will be created in France (Airbus-2022-FR), 750 in Spain (Airbus-2022-ES), 1,500 in Germany (Airbus Deutschland-2022-DE).

Airbus designs, manufactures, and delivers aerospace products and services to its customers. Currently, it employs 130,000 people worldwide and operates in Europe, in the U.S., in Africa, in the Middle East, and in Asia.

In 2020, Airbus announced a worldwide restructuring plan to cope with the COVID-19 crisis, with 14,900 job cuts (Airbus-2020-WO).
