By 2021, the American e-commerce company, Amazon, will open two new operation centers in Italy: one for distribution in Novara and one for sorting in Spilamberto, in the province of Modena. With these two new hubs, oberative by next Autumn, the e-commerce giant intends to create 1,100 permanent jobs within three years.
The launch of these two new sites, Amazon says in a note, will involve a further investment of over €230 million which will add to the 5.8 billion already invested by Amazon in Italy in the last ten years.
Amazon's Italian workforce will increase: 1,100 units will be added to the 8,500 already employed in our country.
