The French chain Castorama, specialised in the retail of building materials, announced the creation of over 140 jobs at its new store in Nowy Sącz.

Castorama Poland is a part of the British multinational company Kingfisher which has about 1,200 stores in 10 European countries. The company has been operating in Poland since 1997, where it has over 80 stores and employs about 11,500 people across the country.

In 2018, the company announced two expansions: in April (300 new jobs) and July (125 new jobs). In 2019, Castorama announced two business expansions: in March (145 jobs in Elbląg) and May (150 jobs in Bydgoszcz). In 2020, the chain announced one expansion: in February (110 jobs in Włocławek).
