European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Eat Happy Group, a German holding company that produces sushi for both direct sales and indirect sales (through supermarkets), invested in the Bentivoglio (Bologna) plant. The investment is expected to lead to the hiring of 120 new employees (30 already working in the plant). The figures required are in the warehouse and production area.
The investment (€5 million) is part of the group's plan to open several factories in Italy, in order to spread the product more widely. In fact, the company's goal is to be present throughout Italy by 2024.
The growth of companies in this sector is favoured by the significant growth of the sushi market in Italy in recent years, from 120 million in 2019 to 240 million in 2021.
