Ericsson, a Swedish networking and telecommunications equipment and services company, has announced that it will create 350 jobs at its two R&D centres in Łódź and Kraków within the next 12 months. The company aims to recruit programmers, testers, system architects, managers, project managers as well as trainers and technical leaders. Poland's units are expected to become leading 5G-technology development centres.
Ericsson was founded in 1876. As of 2020, the company employed over 101,600 people and operates in about 180 countries. The company provides services, software and infrastructure in information and communications technology (ICT). Currently, the centres in Łódź and Kraków employs about 2,000 staff.
