Hella, the German manufacturer of lighting technology and electronics products for the automotive industry, intends to create up to 250 new jobs in Kaunas Free Economic Zone by 2025. The company opened a production plant in Kaunas in 2018 and currently employs around 180 employees. In view of the further increase in demand, the Lithuanian site intends to expand over the next few years. As part of the expansion, the number of employees is expected to increase from 180 to 430 by 2025.
Currently the plant in Kaunas is producing sensors, actuators and control modules for automotive industry. Series production of further electronic components in the field of energy management is also planned for summer 2021.
The Hella Group operates in 125 locations in 35 countries and it employs around 36,000 people.
