The national postal service (ELTA S.A.) has announced a new plan of voluntary redundancies on 29th January 2021. The programme concerns employees over 41 years old having at least15 years of experience in the organization. Applications started from February 1 and will finish on February 19, 2021. It targets the exit of 2000 employees of the company and is intended to reduce operating costs. The programme foresees the payment of salaries equivalent to 2 to 3.5 years depending on the age of the person concerned and the years of experience in the organization. By February 4 2021, according to reports, 826 employees had made requests for voluntary redundancy.
