Description

Hoganas, manufacturers of iron and metal powder, will lay off 100 employees in Sweden. This is as a result of the downturn in the automative market. 160 employees in total are impacted on by the redundancy notice, with 100 of these in Sweden. Approximately one third of those are white-collar employees, the remainder being blue-collar.

Höganäs was founded in 1797 and is today a leader within the iron and metal powder industry. Its products are principally used by the automotive industry, for home appliances and for lawn, garden and hand-tools.
