Description

In April 2004, the Ispat Polska Stal (four metallurgy plants in the Silesia region and the Tadeusz Sędzimir plant in Cracow) were taken over by LNM group. The new owner is now carrying out a restructuring plan at the plants aiming at reducing production costs; by the end of 2006, combined employment at the four plants is to be downsized from the present 14,800 workers to 10,400.
