Description

Jabil is a multinational company active in the production of electrical equipment. It is also active in southern Italy, with its factory in Marcianise, Campania. Jabil confirms 230 employees to be dismissed by 2023 at the Marcianise plant.

According to Jabil's management, for the 230 redundant workers the outplacement process remains the only instrument. Jabil has identified Tme of Portico di Caserta as the company that should hire and relocate the employees. The trade unions continue to demand guarantees.

Updated, [17/02/22]

According to an agreement reached at the Ministry of Economy, 222 Jabil workers will be hired in Tme thanks to the 'Corneliani method', i.e. the entry of a safeguard fund as a minority shareholder of Tme Assembly Engineering, which will be responsible for the design and production of electronic boards for various industrial sectors. Workers will not lose their jobs

The agreement will now be examined by the workers, while the presentation of the new industrial plan by Tme is expected.

Updated, [3/3/22]:

The favorable opinion of the workers on the industrial project carried out by Tme, which provides for the relocation of part of the redundant Jabil employees to Marcianise, came through a referendum among Jabil employees.
