Norwegian capital company Kitron engaged in electronic manufacturing services is expanding its activities in Lithuania and is to create around 100 new jobs in its facility in Kaunas by the end of 2017. According to the management, Kitron has recently signed a five-year contract with Husqvarna worth NOK 600 million (€63.25 million). According to the contract, the group’s facility in Kaunas will be responsible for producing the electronic components for Husqvarna’s robotic lawn mowers.
The Kitron plant in Kaunas is part of Kitron Group, a Norwegian electronic manufacturing services group. The Kitron group has electronic equipment plants in China, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the USA. Currently Kitron in Lithuania employs around 700 employees.
