Description

Legal and General Insurance company has announced plans to relocate 150 jobs from its offices in Hove. The department which deals with general insurance will move to Birmingham in January 2018 and affected workers have been told they can choose to relocate, or otherwise they have the opportunity to apply for jobs in other departments at the Hove site, though there is no information about how many such vacancies currently exist. Reports suggest that staff were surprised by the news, given the apparent financial well being of the company. During the last years there has been strike action by the personnel against planned job cuts.
