Logica, a UK-based global IT and management consultancy, has announced to cut 280 jobs in Sweden. The cuts will be implemented until the end of March 2012. This is the result of trade union negotiations.
The majority of the employees affected are IT technicians. It is reported that parts of Logica's activities may in the future be managed from India.
The Logica staff reduction also affects other EU countries. Jobs in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK will be cut, see factsheet 19521.
