In 2009 a first phase of the logistical platform (LOGZ – Atlantic Hub) will be installed at Poceirão (Setúbal - Peninsula), resulting from a consortium among several companies such as Bento Pedroso Construções, Mota – Engil Ambiente and services, Espirito Santo Resources and OPCA. This location was decided taking into account the geographical triangle that includes the seaports of Lisbon, Setúbal and Sines, as well as the connection with the main road and railway axes that link the region with the rest of the country and Spain. It is expected that 5,000 direct jobs as well as 7,000 indirect jobs will be created.
