Description
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, an institution that implements state policy in the health care sector, is to dismiss 117 employees in Vilnius by 14 October 2018. The main cause of the dismissals is internal restructuring of the institution. The ministry has already started consultations with the trade union aimed at discussing the measures to mitigate the consequences of the dismissals. The Lithuanian Labour Exchange will develop a special prevention program for the dismissed employees to facilitate their integration in the labour market. Currently the Ministry of Health employs 225 employees.
