On 7 August 2006 it was published that the German energy distribution and service group MVV Energie (Mannheimer Versorgungs- und Verkehrsgesellschaft Energie AG) decided to reorganise the group’s internal services division and to cut up to 130 jobs within the next five years. The Mannheim-based MVV Energie is shareholder of several municipal energy providers whose internal services divisions will be affected.
