Description

The management of NextiraOne, a multinational provider of information and communications solutions, has announced a reorganisation plan with 370 job cuts to its works council.

There are no details given on the schedule of the restructuring but it is likely to start three months after the announcement due to the information and consultation process.

The management promised to avoid forced dismissals and to find a solution for each affected employees.

NextiraOne is being taken over by the Japanese Dimension Data group that bought several sites in EU countries.

UPDATE 21-10-2014. On 13 June 2014, the management of NextiraOne and two unions (CFDT, Unsa) signed an agreement on the Employment safeguard plan to reduce the number of dismissals from 370 to 277. The agreement includes a "competitiveness pact" that reduces the number of days off and of variable pay so as to decrease labour costs. The agreement received approval for go-ahead from the Labour inspectorate despite the oppositon of the third union, the CGT.
