Description

Solar Turbines Slovakia, which is part of the US Caterpillar group, is planning to launch a new technology centre in Kosice. The new centre will develop turbine software. According to the government, which approved an investment incentive of €3.38 million for the centre on 11 May 2022, 125 new jobs should be created at the new centre by 2023. Solar Turbines plans to spend €9.6 million on wage costs and will invest in long-term tangible assets worth €500,000 between 2021 and 2025. The firm specializes in medium-sized industrial gas turbines and to date it produced over 16,000 turbines that have been installed in over 100 countries.
