Additional Information

Sulzer Eldim, manufacturer of aircraft components, is cutting 70 jobs in an effort to move parts of the production of its plant in Lomm, the Netherlands to Debrecen, Hungary.

Dutch unions expressed great concern about the offshoring. It is reported that not only will 70 jobs be lost through the offshoring, but also will the offshoring of sheet metal seals see the most profitable activity of the plant go abroad. Its other activities yield less profit.

Sulzer Eldim produces aircraft components. It maintains three plants: in Lomm (the Netherlands), Stockport (United Kingdom) and Debrecen (Hungary). The company is part of the Sulzer Metco division of the Sulzer group.

A timeline for the offshoring is not yet known.
