Swedish construction Company Svevia has announced 160 job cuts in road construction works. The restructuring  will take place throughout Sweden, but will primarily affect western Sweden according to the company's communications manager Charlotte Sandström.

As of October 2012 it is not yet known exactly how many people are affected by the redundancies in the various counties. This is the second downsizing this year, in march 2012 Svevia gave notices to 130 employees (see factsheet 20237).

Svevia specializes in roads and infrastructure and has approximately 2800 employees in Sweden.
